SEO Checker Terms of Use
Last updated on 16 September 2026
These terms govern your use of the SEO Checker browser extension, the hosted services it uses and the seochecker.io website (together, the "Services"), provided by Axeman Technology Solutions LLP, 502 B Anisha Apartments, Yari Road, Versova, Mumbai 400061, Maharashtra, India ("we", "us"). By installing the extension or using the Services you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. What the Services are
SEO Checker is a browser extension that crawls a website you choose, runs a set of automated checks on the pages it finds, and shows the results, scores and reports in your browser. The extension may also request a short written summary of the results from our hosted AI summary service. The website provides information about the extension and hosts the services the extension uses.
The Services are currently free of charge. We may introduce paid features or plans in the future. If we do, we will announce it on our news page before it takes effect, and features that are free today will not start charging you without notice.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the extension in your own browser for auditing websites. You may use it for your own sites and for client work. You may not sell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the extension, remove its notices, or use our name, logo or the SEO Checker mark except to describe that you used the tool.
The extension is distributed through the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons. The terms of those stores also apply to your download and installation.
3. Acceptable use
The extension makes requests to websites from your computer. You are responsible for what you crawl and how. In particular you agree:
- to crawl only websites you own or have permission to crawl, and to comply with their terms of use, their robots.txt files and applicable law;
- to use the crawl settings, such as the URL limit, the rate limit and the crawl depth, so that your crawls do not disrupt the sites you audit;
- not to use the Services to gain unauthorised access to any system, to harvest personal data, or for any unlawful purpose;
- not to interfere with the hosted services, for example by circumventing usage limits, forging tokens, sending malformed requests or automating the AI summary service outside the extension;
- not to reverse engineer or tamper with the hosted services. The extension itself is delivered as readable code and you may inspect it.
Where a site you crawl requires credentials, you must be authorised to use them. The extension sends them only to the host name you entered, as described in our privacy policy.
4. The AI audit summary
The AI audit summary is generated automatically by a language model from a digest of your audit results. It is provided to help you read the results, not as professional advice. Generated text can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and it can misjudge which issue matters most for your site. Check its statements against the detailed results before acting on them, and use your own judgement.
The summary service is subject to usage limits per installation, per network address and per audited site, and to a daily limit for all users together. When a limit is reached the extension says so and the rest of the audit remains available. We may change the limits, the underlying model or the provider, and we may suspend or withdraw the service at any time, without affecting the rest of the extension. You can turn the summary off in the extension's settings.
5. Your results and reports
The audit results, exported files, printed reports and generated files such as llms.txt or sitemap.xml are yours. We claim no rights in them. The check logic, scoring, explanations and design of the extension and the website remain ours or our licensors'.
6. Third-party sites and services
The extension connects to the sites you choose to crawl and, when you enable them, to third-party services such as Google's Chrome UX Report API. We do not control those sites and services and are not responsible for their content, availability or terms. Results that depend on a third party, such as Core Web Vitals data, are shown as received.
7. Changes to the Services
We improve the extension regularly, and checks, scores and features change between versions. A site's score can go up or down after an update even if the site did not change, because checks are added, removed or corrected. Release notes on the news page describe what changed. Browser stores install updates automatically. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Services at any time.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Automated checks cannot cover every aspect of a website, may report false positives and negatives, and do not guarantee any search ranking, performance, security or accessibility outcome. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Services, however caused and under any theory of liability, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim, if any, and one hundred US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these terms or from your crawling of a website you were not permitted to crawl.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Services at any time by uninstalling the extension, which removes its stored data from your browser. We may suspend or terminate your access to the hosted services, or block a particular installation or network address, if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached or to protect the Services. Sections 5, 8, 9, 10 and 12 survive termination.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law rules, and the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings there. Before starting proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the matter informally.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the Services change. The date at the top shows the current version, and material changes will be announced on our news page before they take effect. If you keep using the Services after that date, the updated terms apply. If you do not agree with a change, stop using the Services.
14. General
These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor of our business.
